CERAMIC BALLS
Ceramic balls have a very wide range of applications due to their superior properties. Basically, Exceptionally resistant to abrasion, high temperatures, and corrosion. Their availability makes them indispensable in many industries. Main areas of use include:
1. Grinding and Mills
- This is one of their most common applications. In ball mills, they are used to grind ore, dyes, pigments, chemicals, and even food products (such as chocolate).
2. Bearings
- They replace steel balls in high-performance bearings. Particularly common are steel bearings with ceramic balls, often referred to as "hybrid bearings".
3. Valve and Pump Components
- They are used especially in valves and pumps where corrosive and abrasive liquids (acids, bases, slurries) are controlled.
4. Oil and Gas Industry
- They are used in oil and natural gas extraction operations, in equipment that can withstand high pressure and corrosive environments (for example, in metering and control valves).
6. Electronics and Semiconductor Industry
- Semiconductor Manufacturing: It is used in wafer conveyors and processing equipment due to its properties of not conducting static electricity and not generating particles.
- Insulation: Because they do not conduct electricity, they are used as high-voltage switches and insulation materials.
7. Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry
They are preferred in processes requiring high purity because they do not participate in chemical reactions and do not cause contamination. They are used in mixers, grinders, and pumps.
8. Defense Industry
They are used in armor plates (especially in bulletproof vests) in conjunction with composite materials to provide lightness and high strength. They are also found in the bearing systems of military vehicles and equipment.
9. Other Applications
- Guide Rollers: In wire and pipe production lines.
- Measuring Instruments: In precision measuring instruments.
- Hobbies and Arts: As a decorative material with marbles.
- Valve Mechanism: Especially in pneumatic systems where abrasive dusts are conveyed.
Due to its exceptionally high density, high hardness and high wear resistance, it is widely used as an abrasive medium for Ceramic Raw Materials and Glaze Materials.
During abrasive grinding processes, ceramic balls do not break and do not contaminate the materials being ground.
Grinding balls made from different ceramic raw materials are resistant to high temperatures thanks to their strong mechanical properties.
